Well, depends on the priest. I’ve made confession with two different clergy at the Russian parish, one just did a full on Latin confession (Bless me, Father, for I have sinned…), but looking at the icon and the Gospel. Another has worked really hard to learn and memorize the Byzantine Rite which is exactly the same as the Orthodox one.

Do the Eastern Rite Catholics confess in the same ways the Latin Rite folks do?
